As the search for Baby Lisa continues, some are questioning the plausibility of what Lisa’s parents, Jeremy Irwin and Deborah Bradley, say occurred the night of Lisa’s disappearance.
The authorities attempted to stage the break-in the way Irwin and Bradley described it, and were unable to do so. Furthermore, statistics on missing infants show how rare it is for strangers to take babies, and rather they are almost always taken by someone who knows the child.
The National Center for Exploited and Missing Children says that since 1983, they have handled 273 infant abduction cases. In only 13 of those, (4.7 percent), was the infant abducted by a stranger. Moreover, in 92.3% of those cases in which a stranger was involved, the infant was found alive.
Attorneys Randy Zelin and Arthur Aidala joined Shepard Smith to discuss the case. Should the parents have plead the fifth? Why weren’t they cooperating with police? Aidala thought it was suspect; Zelin thought it was smart.
What do you think?
